The work behind the curtains

On Thursday the working group for the 55th CISM World Military Shooting Championship gathered at Terningmoen training camp to discuss the preparations for WMC.

The working group consists of a few select people, with a mix of active and retired military employees. These men and women gather once a month to discuss and debate on decisions that ultimately will lead up to the championship in June.

The purpose of this is to create a welcoming environment for all of the visiting nations. This involves discussing safety measures in accordance to security regulations, finding vendors for the exhibitions, and the logistics in acquiring the necessary equipment.

When the championship starts the working group will expand to about 150 people, working tirelessly to create a safe, lucid and enjoyable event.

It was announced during the meeting that the contract with anti-doping Norway has been signed, and the contract with MegaLink is under consideration.

Furthermore, the prize for CISM best shooter has been selected and will be awarded to the best participant at the end of the championship.
